Richmond Hill’s fastpitch softball league
RHMSA, home of the Richmond Hill Rebels is Richmond Hill’s fastpitch softball league, providing development for House League and Select tournament teams for young children through to young adults. Softball programs are available to children 4 to 21 years old.
We are an incorporated not-for-profit public softball organization that is run by volunteer parents, coaches and other dedicated community members. Registration fees, sponsors and various fund raising initiatives financially support us.
Our coaches are required to submit to the Vulnerable Sector Screening. Our motto is that every child deserves a trained coach and to have fun!

Fall/Winter U9/U11 Skills, Drills and Prep for Select Clinic
RHMSA is excited to announce our winter clinic lineup. Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early.
- U9/U11 Drills, Skills and Prep for Select
- U11 Birth Years: 2016-2017; U9 Birth Years: 2018-2019
- Throwing Mechanics – proper grip, arm action, footwork, accuracy and throwing on the move.
- Catching & Receiving – glove positioning, soft hands, two-hand catches and quick transfers.
- Ground Ball Fielding – ready position, moving through the ball, forehand/backhand and short hops.
- Fly Balls & Outfield Skills – tracking the ball, drop steps, calling for the ball and proper throwing mechanics.
- Hitting Fundamentals – stance, grip, load, weight transfer, balance, bat path and consistent contact.
- Base Running – running through first, rounding bases, leads, tagging up, sliding and basic stealing.
- Pitching Fundamentals – windmill mechanics, balance, arm circle, leg drive, accuracy and basic pitch control.
- Catching Skills – stance, receiving, blocking, throwing mechanics and recovering passed balls.
- Game Situations & Defensive Play – force plays, tags, cut-offs/relays, backups, rundowns and knowing where to throw.
- Athletic Development & Competition – agility, balance, coordination, speed and fun competitive drills that reinforce the softball skills above.
