Help Needed!

Posted by Richmond Hill Minor Softball Association at Feb 14, 2017 5:06PM PST

RHMSA is Richmond Hill’s Softball league, which provides year-round development for the youth of Richmond Hill and surrounding areas. We are a not-for-profit public Softball organization that is 100% run by volunteers. This league is only as good as the community it serves and your help is needed with:

  • Supporting your kid’s effort in sports.
  • Giving something back to the game of Softball.
  • Contributing to our community of Richmond Hill.
  • Helping children develop skills such as communication and teamwork.
  • Doing something rewarding while spending time with family and friends.

We have vacant Executive Board Member positions (no experience necessary) as well as coaching opportunities for the 2017 season. Volunteering for RHMSA is a great way to give back and to have a sense of accomplishment. If you’re ready to volunteer please email You are also welcome to attend a RHMSA board meeting to see what it’s all about. Our meetings are generally on the second Wednesday of every month at the Elgin Barrow arena in the Board Room.

Thank you!

Once again, starting November 2017, RHMSA is offering free Chix with Stix Skills Clinics as well as Pitching & Catching clinics on Friday evenings in the Kettle Lakes and Oak Ridges Public School gym. These clinics are just for girls! The focus is to introduce female players to proper fundamentals as well as intermediate and competitive levels of play by focusing on general and advanced skills, mechanics and strategy. All this while meeting old and new friends and having fun. These off-season clinics encourage female players to come out to the gym, bring a friend and increase their confidence, so that they can maximize their game in the summer. See you in the gym!

Thanks to all the parents, coaches and kids who braved the cold and marched in the 2016 Richmond Hill Santa Claus Parade! Despite the wet weather, we had a great turn out and both kids and parents proudly represented RHMSA during the 4km walk. We would like to give special thanks to Monica for organizing the event, Helen for bringing extra candle holders (Mike for drinking the pop) and for the Leblond / Bland girls who helped build our mini float. With all the support, the parade was a success! We couldn’t have done it without you!
