Both RHMSA U12 Select teams participated in Forest Glade’s (Windsor area) “Pink-Out the Park” softball tournament, in memory of Forest Glade’s Novice All Star Select assistant coach DJ Lafreniere who passed away in 2016. In their first out of town (2) day tournament, the “Pink” Extreme played hard and represented Richmond Hill by securing and winning the bronze medal. Congratulations coaches, players and parents!

5 games and a 15 hour day at the softball diamond, these girls played hard, dug deep and won the silver medal where 12 teams competed in the OSSTA Etobicoke Select Tournament. This U12 Select team understands that medals are won at practice and tournaments are where they pick them up. Congratulations coaches, girls and parents!

The Richmond Hill U12 Girls Select team, Green Extreme is on a mission this season. Coached by James Bland and Monica Cheung at the OSSTA Select home hosted tournament at Richvale Athletic Park on June 25, they competed against awesome teams from Whitby, Unionville, Barrie, Oshawa and Oakville. Through teamwork, execution of skills, and most of all fun, the Green Extreme team came out on top and captured the GOLD medal!

_Gold medals are not made of gold. They are made of hard work, sweat, determination and a hard to find trait called 220,…110% effort 110% of the time. Congratulations girls, coaches and parents!

In their first tournament of the season, the U12 Select girls, the White Diamonds coached by Steve and Tonia Sarkissian proudly represented Richmond Hill in our home tournament at Richvale Athletic Park on Saturday, June 25. Despite being a younger team for this division, the girls played tough. Going into their final round robin game they knew the standings were close. With perseverance and tenacity and snazzy good looks in their white sunglasses, they hammered out a win to advance to the bronze medal game. The White Diamonds placed fourth out of eight teams. Congratulations to the coaches, girls and parents!

RHMSA’s Opening Day is set for Saturday, June 4 at a NEW LOCATION – Richvale Athletic Park (just west of Hillcrest Mall). This day will be filled with fun, food and our first games of the season! Team and individual photos will also be taken. Your coach will soon share the details of your team’s Opening Day schedule. Let’s hope for good weather!
